Oracle Communications Global Business Unit (CGBU) represents Oracle in the communications industry. Oracle CGBU is responsible for the development, marketing, sales and delivery of consulting services of Oracle CGBU application and network products and leads Oracle’s strategy in the communications industry. Oracle Communications Consulting (OCC) within Oracle’s CGBU is responsible for consulting and solution delivery for our broad range of solutions for the communications industry.

  • Reports to the Regional Sales Director for Oracle Communications Consulting in EMEA

  • Is a member of the expanding Oracle Communications Consulting Sales Team in EMEA

  • Works in collaboration with all lines of business across Oracle to identify, manage and close new OCC sales opportunities

  • Develops new business throughout Russia and the CIS region by actively positioning, selling and closing new consulting service engagements with new name customers

  • Measured against individual consulting sales targets

  • Works closely with Regional Sales Director to identify, qualify and close consulting service opportunities for Oracle Communications Consulting

  • Develops and maintains relationships with key decision makers across existing and new clients to identify new incremental business opportunities.

  • Identifies the appropriate Oracle Communications Consulting value based solution proposition and actively positions it to new and existing clients

  • Generates proposals for consulting services opportunities and as part of a wider team across Oracle identifies and closes new business opportunities for OCC

  • Works within a matrix environment and across other Oracle lines of business as part of an overall team to provide a solution to the end user customer.

  • Generates, communicates and executes account plans for each existing account and new business accounts

  • Manages the sales process from opportunity identification and qualification through to contract closure and revenue generation

  • Generates and manages timely and accurate business forecasts against plans and sales targets

  • Contributes to the ongoing development of Oracle Communications value propositions and business solutions

  • Works to identify partner organisations to target and identify new business opportunities


  • Develop and grow revenues to meet and exceed sales targets

  • Manage the execution of all consulting sales activities (e.g. demonstrations and presentations) to secure and win the business for OCC

  • Develop and present sales propositions and proposals with input from all relevant experts in compliance with Oracle standards

  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and key contacts in the account(s)

  • Produce regular and accurate forecasts as requested by management

  • Ensure contracts are legally compliant and commercially viable

  • Research and communicate current industry trends, drivers and potential – and demonstrate leadership to clients

  • Maintain a breadth of knowledge of Oracle’s products and services

  • Operate in line with Oracle business processes and procedures


  • Minimum of 10 years knowledge and new business development experience within the OSS/Billing/SDP/Charging marketplace

  • Successful track record in building and developing strategic relationships resulting in large new business contracts

  • Self-starter with proven ability to generate pipeline and convert to business

  • Deep experience in positioning, influencing, negotiating and contract closing

  • Planning and organising

  • Demonstrable sales track record based on proven results

  • Organisational awareness

  • Ability to formulate and delivery complex solution proposals and estimations to internal and external opportunities

  • Extensive knowledge of selling consulting in the telecommunications industry

  • Experience of working across countries as well as a good understanding of different cultures

  • English speaking

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Responsible for sales of Oracle consulting services.

Responsible for selling the Oracle consulting services. Develops new accounts and/or expands existing accounts within an established geographic territory, industry, product segment, or channel.

8-12 years of relevant field sales experience. Able to develop strong internal relationships. Able to network and develop strong business relationships with customers such that they turn to Oracle for their resource needs. Able to generate leads and submit proposals to the client utilizing a broad knowledge of Oracle service offerings. Able to generate consulting services and nurture and close the transaction. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.
