For the South East Europe/Adriatics consulting organization we are looking for a highly skilled leader to further develop our technology consulting services business. In this position you will lead and manage consulting services within:

  • Solutions: SOA, Integration, Identity Management, Master Data Management, Process Orchestration

  • Technologies: Oracle Application Server, Oracle DB, SOA Suite, IdM Suite, J2EE, Java, PLSQL

  • Expert Services within the listed technologies – Short term highly specialized assignments


  • Identify market opportunities

  • Develop market and key customer strategies

  • Successfully sell and deliver services, both from a customer and Oracle perspective

  • Monitor key project delivery

  • Lead and grow a team of technology consultants and project managers

  • Lead initiatives and programs that will grow the business

  • Report to the Consulting Leader for SEE


  • Managing and developing a group of professional consultants and project managers

  • Providing leadership and coaching to the team and the individual consultant

  • Motivating and energizing the team

  • Reviewing and updating services offering for SEE market

  • Creating and executing marketing plans for Expert Services and solutions, addressing leads in cooperation with sales organization

  • Marketing Service offerings to internal business units

  • Preparing proposals and managing bids

  • Creating or helping with creation of project plans that outline the project management process and include: detailed estimates, a quality plan, key deliverables, resources required, risks, issues and dependencies according to Oracle’s quality standards

  • Managing the performance of your team and the individual consultant

  • Recruiting the right skilled consultants to full fill the future assignments

  • Ensure high utilization of your team

  • Ensure successful project delivery

  • Act as project manager where appropriate


  • Create awareness of Oracle technology services among customers and other business units

  • Is measured according to revenue and margin generated from technology services

  • Deliver work within agreed parameters of cost, time, and quality

  • Communicating good news stories and lessons learned

  • Set objectives for, and review the performance of consultants and project managers, taking action to ensure targets are met and individuals are developed

  • Ensure scope & expectations for projects are properly defined, including quality and finance plans

  • Control team expenditure in line with budget

Key requirements for the role

  • University Degree

  • 3 years of experience as a leader for technology consulting services

  • 5 years experience in technology consulting services

  • Experience with bid process

  • Has done technical architecture for database technology and/or middleware implementation and/or data consolidation projects

  • Experience with J2EE and/or SOA would be an advantage

  • Experience with security, performance and/or scalability of systems both on the database and middleware tier would be an advantage

  • Good technical overview of technology trends and solutions available on the market

  • Industry knowledge of Financial Services/Banking, Communication/Telco and/or public sector would be an advantage

  • Your key personal skills should be: Communicative, Drive, Enthusiastic, Flexible, Innovative and self motivating

  • Professional in work and attitude

  • Effective in multitasking

  • Strong planning and self-management

  • Willingness to travel

  • Fluent in English

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

This manager-level position is responsible for a segment within a given practice focused on a specific industry, service line, technology center, specialty area or region. Responsible for managing the three main pillars of a practice: people management, portfolio/delivery management and sales enablement. Has profit and loss responsibility or financial/expense management of practice.

Accountable for operational/financial metrics and overall business results of practice. Responsible for maintaining practice direction, ensuring quality of consulting delivery, and maintaining customer referenceability. Ensures that operational policies are followed and that business objectives are achieved by focusing on best practices and process improvements. Develops plans to successfully implement operational policies and achieves business plan. Is accountable for managing and growing a revenue stream and customer base. Typically manages individual contributors. May serve as advisor for moderately complex engagements.

8 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience and 2 years of project management leadership experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Can lead, engage, mobilize and motivate multiple teams to accomplish goals. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the practice focus. Ability to travel as needed.
